Involvement:


Narrative Design

  • Created characters and background stories.
  • Created and wrote outlines for dialogues and text-based puzzles.
  • Gave feedback on dialogue lines and voice actors.
  • Wrote slogans for graffiti and trademarks within the game world.

Game Design

  • Paper prototyped gameplay & rapid prototyped features.
  • Created and structured functional pipelines for the game design department.
  • Wrote and updated wiki with game design and mockups.
  • Wrote technical documents and built tools together with programmers.
  • Created mockups for UI.

Level Design

  • Topdowns and town planning, making sure all levels fit seamlessly together as a complete universe.
  • Whiteboxed levels and iterated on them with cameras, lighting and focal points.
  • Used node-based scripting to create and design cut-scenes, puzzles, dialogues, level transitions and camera pans.
  • Animated objects (such as doors, elevators etc).

Combat

I was a part of creating many different types of prototypes for combat, ending with turn-based tactics stealth, which fit the aesthetic of the game the most.

Dialogue

The game was made with a choose-your-own-adventure type of vibe, as we wanted players to have replay options but not get too caught up. The story needed to move forward quickly.
